This chair is made from English walnut and brown oak with a burr elm seat, arms and crest rail. The seat is hand shaped with a tooled finish, with gouge work around the edge. The legs are shaped with a drawknife and joined to the seat using traditional mortise and tenon joints, with the spindles and arm supports hand shaped and tenoned through in the same way. Approximate size 450mm (height) x 500mm (width) x 450mm (depth). The design draws on folk stools and chairs from across the British Isles and is finished by hand with a hard wax oil.
