About

Welcome to Collantine Studios, a fine woodworking furniture and artistry workshop founded by Jonny Collantine and his late father Stephen. With a deep passion for furniture making, Jonny honed his craft at the renowned Rowden Atelier, an internationally recognised furniture making school.

Inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, Jonny strives to create beautiful, functional furniture pieces and crafts that will last for generations. Every piece is crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail, using only the highest quality materials and traditional techniques.

At Collantine Studios, we take pride in working with the finest English hardwoods—oak, ash, elm—each chosen for its unique grain, warmth, and character. Wood is a living material, shaped by time, weather, and the land it grew from, and we believe furniture should embrace that life rather than erase it.

Inspired by the ethos of William Morris and his contemporaries, we strive to create pieces that are not just functional, but a joy to touch, to use, to live with. Our furniture is designed to be tactile—edges softened by hand, surfaces that invite fingertips to trace the grain, joints that fit with satisfying precision. We walk the razor’s edge between refinement and soul, pursuing craftsmanship that is deliberate yet human. There is a beauty in a piece that bears the marks of the hands that made it—subtle signs of process and care that distinguish it from the cold perfection of mass production.

Each creation from our workshop is a celebration of wood, tradition, and artistry, meant to be lived with for generations, growing richer with time and use.
